July is done but summer is still heating up!
Stanfest was a great time, with awesome music and a decent turn out. Trying new events is always exciting. Being close to home, plus a night event was a great change of pace. August is here and that means football is starting, kids are still out playing and it is still hot outside. We look forward to our next new event: Bad Dogs Brewing Distillery - Dirty Dog fund raiser.

Save a Mutt is a great foster based dog rescue based in Snohomish county. They are partnering with Bad Dog Distillery for this summer event. Bring your dog out for a good clean time. Enjoy ice cream for humans and dogs, plus, Bag Dog Distillery will be pouring tasty cocktails with their small batch spirits. Save-A-Mutt will be on hand with summer swag and adoptable dogs to meet. Tasty beer from Skookum Brewery and dog themed vendors like us! It’s an afternoon event running from 2pm to 6pm. You can get a flash tattoo or a piece of permanent jewelry, enjoy delicious food by Bigredtruck2017, or enter the raffle.

August is when we prepare for football!
Starting at home on August 15 against Dallas. Our Seattle Seahawks are defending champs, looking for back to back titles. Seattle is filled with animal lovers but no dogs at game. Instead show your team spirit with a Deluxe leash in team colors! Blue and Green is a popular combo. Blue and gold is popular with the college crowd. Red and white for our cougars over the mountains. Get a custom collar to complete the look. Baseball is heading into the second half of the season, the FIFA World Cup has completed, but the Sounders are still playing. Our Fish are for play!
Fun for kids and family with cats or a vivid imagination. Our fish are cute things for the cats to catch. Custom lengths and color combos available to fit your needs. One thing we really enjoy is finding new fun creations to sell. Snakes for wrist or neck wraps, Buddiez and Whatchamacallits for your desk or backpack, and mini leashes for EDC. We love to create fun, family and pet friendly items. Upcycling great things we find close by or creating new items from cord. Our focus is on making the best creations we can.
Summer fun continues on!
Summer heat is a short season here in the PNW and this one has been particularly hot. August is a fast moving month as it is still very warm out, the sun is noticeably down earlier. The perfect time for the evening walks at the park or beach. Evening cool downs can be a great time to get out to an event with your dog. Summer events are the easiest to get out to. The warm nights make you want to be out of the stuffy house. Keep it casual and meet new pet owners. We are still looking for more pet events to attend before summer ends.

Stanfest is coming up soon!!
We are excited to be at an event like Stanfest this Saturday July 18th!
Admission is free!
It's a family friendly concert event with Cascade Country music by Aaron Crawford, food trucks, plus local vendors.. The doors open at 5pm so you can shop and eat before the concert begins. Come for the food and crafts and stay for the music!

Happy 250th!
Happy Birthday America! We celebrated with family after a great day at the market. It was a special year and we are so happy to be able to spend time with family. We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday.
First time at Paws in the Park! It will be a great day to be a dog! There will be several contests along with grooming, a play area, selfi e booth, and more. We are happy to be back in Lynnwood, and hope to see some people we know. It looks to be a great time.

These things just bring the pups! We started these from upcycled t-shirts next to our t-shirt bags. Both available only at market for now! Made for medium to small dogs who love their tennis ball toy. A great way to keep your dog engaged for play time and relaxation time. Great for indoors and light outside time. They go fast so come early for this new upcycle.
The Celebration continues!
The summer heat is here and we enjoy getting out of the hot house. It is a great time for evening walks. The morning walk is a staple for most every dog and their human. But the evening can be tough in the cold of fall or winter. So take advantage and get your pet out to new places! New smells, new trails, and new pups can be easy to fi nd at your closest dog park. We are having a great time this market season and summer is finally here. July is a wonderful month at the market with all the summer veggies, fruits, and aromas around the market. Take a trip to see us at Stanfest this month. It will be our first night event of the year and we are looking forward to it! We will be back and forth between Anacortes and Arlington over the next few weeks. And we are looking at adding new events as well.

Poochella was great!
We were at Poochella on the 6th and it was a great time. So many pooches with their owners checking out all the competition. The small dog race was fierce if unfocused. There were trainers there, groomers, boarders, and more. Coffee and cookies for the owners and plenty of treats for the pooches. Our Maxx Traffic Leashes were a big hit, and we sold some dog toys too. Mid June is the time for our Strawberry Festival: https://www.marysvillestrawberryfest.com/. That means veggie and berry season is here. Looking forward to all the tasty stir frys and more. We love getting mushrooms and beef at the market. Find us in Arlington on the 20th for the pet parade. Looking forward to being there for the first time. The Anacortes Farmers Market has had a good start with the new market area. The Maxx Leash
Our full size Maxx leash is adjustable, comfortable, plus light and stylish. We use the Paramax cord that is thicker than 550 but more than twice as strong. Made with a comfortable handle, you can keep it in the car, but it may just end up being your daily walker.

The year is just getting started and we are in more markets this year. Getting ourselves out to more spots helps us create new products. Besides our leashes, handles and collectibles we plan to add more. Dog pull toys have been rolled out and are getting interest.
Lots of colors available only at the market for now. Remember that we have marine quality connectors for those summer days on the beach. We are testing adjustable collars now and hope to have those out soon. This has been awhile in the making. We wanted to find a great design and be able to source the quality goods we need.

Berry Season Begins!
As we step into Summer 2026, our commitment to innovation and quality products remains at the forefront. Over the past month, we have received positive feedback on the new Maxx Traffic Leashes. We had a great day last month at the Skagit Plant Fair and look forward to being in Marysville for the PetPalloza on the 6th. Berry season is in full swing with strawberries, raspberries and marionberries at the market. Along with great veggies and more. Anacortes Farmers Market is adding more vendors this year. The whatchamacallits will be out with new outfits and rides. We are moving our online store to jncmerch.com this month, to better align with our market presence. You can still find Urban Merlin merch at urbanmerlin.net . New products will roll out this summer.
